03/29/2023  Turtle was found off of Summerland Key with buoyancy issues, floating and unable to dive. Mainer was rescued and dry-docked overnight at The Turtle Hospital in Marathon, FL. Funding for care was provided by the Animal Welfare Institute - Christine Stevens Wildlife Award.

05/05/2023  After a full recovery, Mainer was released at Higgs Beach, Key West, in Monroe County, Florida!  Prior to release, Mainer was was outfitted with a satellite tag.
